Question 1

Are my swimwear photos private?

Accepted Answer

Your swimwear photo is part of your Tanline profile, so other adult users who can view your profile can see it. It is not hidden after signup. Your email, account details, and internal age-check signals stay private.

Question 2

How does the 18+ gate work?

Accepted Answer

At launch, you declare that you are 18 or older when you join. That is the current gate. Vendor-backed age verification is planned for a later rollout; it is not live yet.

Question 3

Why is swimwear mandatory?

Accepted Answer

Because the real body is part of a first impression. A current swimwear photo closes the old-photo and flattering-angle gap that catfishers use. It is not a body-type test: there is no one Tanline body.

Question 4

What can other users see?

Accepted Answer

Other users can see your profile, your swimwear photo, and the details you intentionally add to your profile. They cannot see your email, private account data, or internal verification signals.

Question 5

Who is Tanline for?

Accepted Answer

Tanline is for adults 18+ who want more honest, body-positive dating. Choose your own intent—casual, a date, or something that grows—and be clear about it.

The honest answers, up front.

Less mystery. Better first impressions.
